Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using
"Photochan" ("Service") provided by Shohei Nakagawa ("Provider"). Please
read these Terms carefully and agree to them before using the Service.
Definitions

"Service": The application and related services provided by the
Provider for image compression, conversion, resizing, and metadata
(e.g., EXIF) removal.
- "User": Anyone who uses the Service.

"Image Data": Image files that Users process using the Service (e.g.,
JPEG/PNG/HEIF/WEBP).

"Processing": A series of image operations provided by the Service,
including compression, resizing, cropping, format conversion, and the
removal of EXIF or other metadata.

"Personal Information": Information that can identify a specific
individual such as name, address, phone number, or email address.
Consent to the Terms
Users may use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms. When a
User downloads the Service to a smartphone or other device and completes
the procedure to agree to these Terms, a usage agreement under these
Terms is deemed to have been concluded between the User and the
Provider.
Changes to the Terms
The Provider may change these Terms without the User's prior consent.
The revised Terms will take effect when the Provider notifies Users by a
method separately prescribed by the Provider. If a User continues to use
the Service after such changes, the User is deemed to have agreed to the
revised Terms.
Notices

The Service is intended for image compression, conversion, and
resizing. The Provider makes no guarantees regarding the quality,
resulting file size, or compatibility of processed images.

Processing uses the resources of the User's device (CPU/memory/
storage). Please be aware of your device's performance and available
storage, and back up your files as needed.

For details on supported formats, limitations, and functions, please
refer to the guidance within the app.
Privacy and Data Handling

As a general rule, the Service processes Image Data locally on the
User's device. Image Data is not sent to any server.

The Provider does not collect or store Image Data or processing
results.

Only anonymous usage statistics are collected and used to improve the
Service.

Prohibited Acts
- Using the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Any other acts the Provider deems inappropriate.
Disclaimer

The Provider shall bear no responsibility for any damages arising from
the use of the Service.

The Provider shall not be liable for any damages arising from changes
to, interruption of, or termination of the Service.

support or by another method separately designated by the Provider.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the
laws of Japan. Any dispute between the User and the Provider in relation
to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
Osaka Summary Court or the Osaka District Court.
In-App Purchases

Some features may require a non-consumable in-app purchase or a
subscription.

A non-consumable in-app purchase can be used permanently without
additional charges on the same Apple ID or Google account once
purchased.

Purchased non-consumables can be restored from "Restore" within the
app.

Unlike consumables, non-consumables have no usage limits or expiry.

The contents, pricing, and conditions of subscriptions will be
provided within the app or in the store.

Subscriptions are billed based on a contract between the User and each
app store.

To cancel, follow each store's procedure at least 24 hours before the
renewal date.

Due to the nature of digital products, refunds or cancellations after
purchase are not available.
Use of Brand Images
The Service's brand images (logos, icons, etc.) may be used free of
charge for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. However, use
that is contrary to public order and morals, or that may cause
misunderstanding, is prohibited.
